Leaving Kobe

Well, so far it has been a fireworkish, train riding, sushi filled, office sitting time, but, we have to leave Kobe. We are going to a resort in Nara, where there is water slides, a pool, and a lot of more fun stuff. But, the train ride is super long, about an hour and a half. But, the need to go to sleep, some ramen, and a book is all I need to survive the ride!

Science Museum!!

Yesterday we went to a science museum that was very cool. There were all of these different rooms and floors that were very cool. There was stuff about space, new stuff that they have made (that relates to science in some weird way) and other stuff. My faves where the anti-gravitizer, which would make your weight less, so you could jump really high. It was pretty cool. But, my all time favorite was this house that was tipped and you couldn't stand straight in it. I kept on falling over and running into walls, and it made you feel really dizzy. It was all really cool!

Osaka Aquarium

Yesterday we went to the Osaka Aquarium! It was very cool. There was a tube that was all clear and had fish all over it! We saw penguins, sharks, rays, a lot of fish, otters, sea lions, whales, dolphins, and a lot of other stuff. I was there with some friends of my parents and there children, who didn't speak english but we still had a great time with eachother. The hard part about it was that there were almost six trains that we had to take. But, it was worth it because at the end we got to touch rays AND sharks!

Bird Park!!!

The bird park was so fun!!! First things first, there where flowers that were growing from the ceiling!!! It was very beautiful but I had always wondered how the flowers would be water when they where hanging. Second, they had the prettiest birds that you could feed, and hold!! First, we feed some ducks, which my brother was more interested in, and swans, black and white, which I was more interested in. The ducks would attack my brother, while I was feeding this really huge bird that I think was a Pelican. We also went into a place with little parrots and small birds, which the person there would put on you. There was also big toucans, which if you got the food for them, would COME ON YOUR ARM!!!! It was really cool. We also saw a lot of other birds, but my favorite was seeing the birds get trained. There was an owl and a parakeet. The parakeet could say hello, and the owl flew right over us. We got to see them both fly back and forth and we also got pictures with them. I actually got to pet the owl, which was AWESOME!!! I really want to go there again!

Hot Springs!!!!

We went to the sea yesterday! We found jelly fish that had washed up, but they were dead. We would pick them up and throw them. But sometimes they would rip. After that we went to a spa, where for the first time ever we went into a hot spring. The hot spring is like a natural hot tub. But, you don't wear a swim suit. In fact, you don't wear anything at all!! But, the hot springs are separated by genders. It was pretty odd, but it was very relaxing. Today we are going to go to a bird park with tocans, owls, hawks, stuff like that. But, you can feed them and they come up to you and hop on your arm!!!

Birthday time!!!

To celebrate my brother's birthday, we went to an amusment park! First my brother and my mom went into a "Haunted Mansion.". They told my dad and I that there was a corpse that they had to go around since it was just laying on the ground, and the next thing that they knew, the corpse was right in there faces, screaming. We also went on a ferris wheel, a real rollercoaster and a virtual one, which where all very fun!

Kobe Tower

We had a great time today!!! We went to the Kobe Tower and it was REALLY tall. First was the elevator which had a big window that made you feel like the elevator was going to go too high and crash. When we got to the top it was really cool because you could see the whole city!! My favorite part was the sky walk, where there was clear glass plates that would surprise you because before you walk up to them they are fuzzy and then they aren't fuzzy and you can see everything that is under you. Today is my brother's birthday and we are all very excited to celebrate it!!!

Japan!!!!

I am in Japan!!!! We are at a hotel and are going to move to a apartment in two days. When I went to Greece recently, there was buttons, handles, and strings. Now, there are special toilets that spray you! When my brother and I first tried them out, we were in different rooms, but, we were screaming so loud we could hear each other! When we went to a sushi place, my brother for some reason found a really cool car in the front of the restaurant! It looked like it was from the future!! Today we are going to go to a museum and I am really excited!!

Friendly Pigeon

I finally went to see the pigeons!!! There were a ton of them, and they would fly up on your hand if you had food in it. Even if you had food on your head they would come and eat off of it!! I made a new friend and his name was Pastelli the Pigeon, as you can see in the picture. (Pastelli is a greek food made of sesame seeds and honey. I named Pastelli Pastelli because he liked Pastelli a lot. We also went to saw the changing of the guards. The men were so synchronized when they moved!! So, the changing of the guards is when men switch spots with another group of men. They are all wearing the same traditional greek outfit and they all move at the same time too!!! Very cool! I cannot wait to go bowling with my friends Stephania and Ellie!!

Recreation in Greece

My uncle took my mom and I to the biggest mall ever!! There was a store called Zara, and the mall was so big they had three Zara right next to each other! He also took me to a place which was like a giant carnival with blow ups, games, bumper boats, and cars. It was really fun. I also went on a big structure which was called a spider. It was really a big net with strips of cloth on every level, which was really hard to do. In the picture I'm at the top of the spider, but there is just an outline of a person.

Close to the Parthenon

We had a great time at the Acropolis museum!! The statues and ruins were all very beautiful. There were greek ruins from very old Athens there. You would walk over them in the museum. As many of you know, the Acropolis (not the museum, the real Acropolis) is home to the Parthenon, or the temple of Athena. I didn't go up to see it because there are millions of steps leading to it. But, I did take a picture!!

Pigeons gone crazy

We went to see the pigeons on Syndagma Square, but there was some protesting going on, so we had to leave. We bought some Koulouri, and the pigeons around us liked it. So, I fed them a little bit. Can't wait to go swimming with my uncle!!!

With my Greek girlfriends Stephania & Ellie

Had a great time with friends! The traffic is crazy...too many cars to count! It is always hard for me to flush the toilet though! Too many buttons, handles, and strings...it is driving me nuts!!! Hope we get a good night's sleep!

Greek Lemon!

Had a good night's sleep! We are going to the REAL busy in Athens. But, I saw the biggest lemon that someone would ever see. It was bigger than my hand! My favorite part of Greece is going to this place where there is a TON of pigeons you can feed and they go crazy! Hope it is fun!

With cousin Alkis on the Porto Rafti board walk

As you heard before, I went to the sea...but it was freezing cold. If the weather is warm it doesn't always mean the water is warm too. We went to a boardwalk and played by the sea. Sitting at an outdoor coffee shop-ahh! The fresh air and the second-hand smoke!!!

I cannot wait! I am going to Greece in a little less than two weeks! As I said to you before, I will blog on the plane. But, if the plane has Wi-fi that costs or just no Wi-fi, I saidly will not post. But, I will post in the airport. And when I first get there. And, since I will be making one stop in Pennsylvania before heading to Greece, I will also blog there too.

Japan hilights

I am also going to Japan, or Kobe, Japan, to be exact. I absolutely LOVE sushi, and I am looking forward to eating it. We are going to be celebrating my brother's birthday there, as well as my dad's. I don't know how we are going to be celebrating them, but my brother wants to go to a sumo wrestling match, and I'm trying to convince him that he just wants to go because, well, as he says, "Instead of booing, you through the chairs at the referee. But, he doesn't know that the chairs are just pads!

Greece

A lot of you may be jealous, but it is true. I am going to Greece for my birthday. And I am posting this to tell you where I am going to be when I am there. I am going to Athens, which is the capital of Greece. (As some of you might know already.) I will be going to the sea, hopefully everyday. I will hopefully post pictures of that. I will also be going to the Acropolis Museum, which is not the real Acropolis. But, I will be going to the real Acropolis. The Acropolis is home to the Temple of Athena, or the Parthenon, which, from experience, has a very big walk to get to, but, it is all worth it. I will post some pictures at the top so you can look at where I will be going to.
(Sorry I forgot a picture of the sea.)

Welcome to my blog!

As you could probably tell, this blog is about me and my travels. I am going to be going to Greece in May, and I might be going to Japan in late june. I'm going to be posting from the airport, and from everywhere that I go. I will post pictures and give some interesting info on places I go to.
